What is Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is a secure and convenient digital wallet service that lets you make payments in stores, in apps, and online using your iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac.

Does Apple Pay work without an internet connection?

Yes, Apple Pay also works without an internet connection for payments in stores that have POS terminals supporting NFC (Near Field Communication – contactless). Your device (iPhone or Apple Watch) stores in advance the necessary data to complete a limited number of transactions. Therefore, as long as the store’s POS terminal is online, the payment can be processed even if your device does not have internet access. These types of payments are just as secure as those made when your device is online. However, to add a new card or to make purchases online/ in apps, an internet connection is required.

Can I use only personal debit cards, or can I add credit and business cards too?

No, you're not limited to just personal debit cards. You can add a variety of card types to Apple Pay, including your personal Mastercard Standard, Mastercard Credit, and business debit cards.
